It is the most recent search of Augusto Boal and his team of the Center the Theatre of the Oppressed of Rio de Janeiro. It is based on the certainty that the human being is better than what it believes than to be, he is able to make more things than those that realize. The Aesthetic of the Oppressed wants to promote the expansion of the intellectual life and aesthetic of the participants to the laboratories of Theatre of the Oppressed so that they do not carry out only the function of the actor who represents a personage on the stage.
Their ability is wanted to be expanded to comprise the world and the caught up possibility to communicate to the other members of their communities, acquaintances, discoveries, invented or reinventate. The Aesthetic of the Oppressed one is based on the idea that the Theatre of the Oppressed is an Essential Theatre, in the sense that refers to the own essence of the human being. Every to be human it is Theatre, thanks to its ability "to look at" while it acts, of being watching of if same. To succeed to characterize in if same one watching and an actor, in order to multiply the ability to understand its sets in action. The ability to represent the truth, that is ritrarre real in one the its image, has also the function to project to us in the examination of the future possibilities. Also the EO, as the TO has the scope to develop the abilities to recreate and to analyze the truth, to imagine or to invent the future. Instruments in the distance of discovery of these potentialities and trasformatrici abilities, are activity in the field of the word, the image, the sound and ethics. |
